Brooks' 3rd Birthday

The birthday boy was not happy about everyone singing to him... he was so embarrased. It was pretty funny!

We had Brooks' birthday party at the rec center.  He is obsessed with Thomas so that's the theme we went with.  He had so much fun playing with all of his friends. It was alot more work than I had anticipated but I'm happy with how everything turned out.  He loved his cake and his cookies and everything else so all the stress was worth it! I can't believe he is already 3... he is such a funny, smart, and happy (most of the time) boy.  He makes me laugh everyday!  He is such a good helper lately and is a great big brother to Hudson. We sure love him and are so grateful he's a part of our family... I am a lucky mom!

Christmas

Christmas Eve and morning were really fun this year. Brooks is actually starting to get it and so it was so much fun to start some traditions and see his reactions to everything. Christmas Eve we had my mom and Tom and Caiden over and I made Aebelskivers (sp?) or as Brooks likes to call them, ball pancakes. Then we opened pajama presents and read Brooks the Twas The Night Before Christmas. I made gingerbread cookies for Santa and Brooks had fun setting them out with a glass of milk. He was so excited the next morning to see if Santa had eaten them. We woke up early and Brooks opened his presents from Santa before church. Hudson slept in so he missed this part. Brooks was so excited to open his presents. The first one he opened though was some clothes and he said "Um, let's find a toy!". He knows what's up. After presents we got ready and went to church. When we got home Mimi and Papa came over with a whole other load of presents for them to open and both boys had a blast. That afternoon Tom's son Nick and his wife and their three kids came over and hung out and we had dinner here with them. Caiden showed up a little later too. It was a lot of fun to hang out with everyone! Now for the pictures....
